Authorizing the State Adviser to update the COVID-19 mitigation plans without Board approval.

IN THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Mr. Preston Thomas sponsored the following resolution.

RESOLUTION

Whereas, The situation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic continues to change as more people become vaccinated and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issues new guidance to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus; and

Whereas, The Board of Directors previously adopted a COVID-19 mitigation plan for the Chapter Leadership Camp and for the Fall Leadership Conference; and

Whereas, The adopted plans involved changes to the plans being made by the Conferences & Events Committee; and

Whereas, The State Adviser may need to make adjustments to the mitigation plans on a moments notice as the situation continues to evolve; now, therefore be it

Resolved, That the third and fourth resolving clauses of Board Resolution 2020010 and Board Resolution 2020011 of the 75th Board of Directors are pemanently suspended; and

Resolved, That the State Adviser is authorized to make changes to the COVID-19 mitigation plans to align with the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other health agencies; and

Resolved, That such changes must be reported in writing to the Board of Directors along with any chapters that have already registered for the conference.

This resolution was approved by at least a majority vote of the 76th Board of Directors of Arizona Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, Inc. on this 11th day of June, 2021.
