Authorizing payment for Conference Staff for services rendered during the 2021 Virtual State Leadership Conference, and for other purposes.

Whereas, The 75th Board of Directors approved a Contract for Special Services on June 26, 2020 for the following positions for the 2021 State Leadership Conference: Headquarters Coordinator, Judges Coordinator, Proficiency Events Coordinator, and STAR Events Coordinator; and

Whereas, The 75th Board of Directors approved the contracts under the assumption that the 2021 State Leadership Conference would be held in-person; and

Whereas, The 2021 State Leadership Conference was held virtually and not in-person, reducing the labor needed to successfully execute the event; now, therefore be it

Resolved, That the Board of Directors directs the Financial Services team to issue payment as follows: fifty (50) percent of the original contracted amount to the following positions: Headquarters Coordinator and Proficiency Events Coordinator; and

Resolved, That the Board of Directors directs the Financial Services team to issue payment as follows: thirty-seven and one-half (37.5) percent of the original contracted amount to the following positions: Judges Coordinator and STAR Events Coordinator; and

Resolved, That the State Adviser – or such other individual as they may decide – shall notify the Financial Services team of this decision; and

Resolved, That the Financial Services team shall issue payment not more than fifteen (15) days after the date this resolution is adopted.
